The Faribault Main Street Program is organized to unify the central business district, with emphasis on Central Avenue.

It's goal is to create an attractive destination in which businesses prosper, the community benefits and residents and visitors enjoy a quality downtown experience.

Why Main Street?

The comprehensive and proven strategies of the Main Street program lead to great confidence and ultimately better results for our downtown. The program provides structure and training along with networking and guidance on myriad of downtown concerns. The ultimate goal is a thriving downtown with increasing property values, lease rates, occupancy rates, private investment, customer traffic and spending. This will lead to higher property taxes, reduction in crime and vandalism and fewer maintenance issues. These are surely goals we all can agree on. Flower Baskets for Main Street

Downtown Faribault has long enjoyed the colorful flower baskets along Central Avenue, portions of 4th Street, Division Street and Heritage Place. The Faribault Main Street Program leadership has determined that the flower baskets are an important asset to our community and have developed a plan to continue the program. You can be part of this colorful project by sponsoring these beautiful baskets that are locally planted by Donahue’s Greenhouse and are watered almost daily by the Faribault Area Senior Center.  In fact, a generous portion of the funds raised are donated to the Senior Center.
